Home Visits

The Doctor will visit a patient at home only if they are too poorly (housebound) and are physically incapable of attending the surgery.

If you need to request a GP visit please telephone the surgery before 10am wherever possible.

A reguest for a home visit should be made as soon as possible and detailed information regarding the nature of the problem should be given to the receptionist to enable the Doctor to assess the request. Personal details (patient's name, address and telephone number) will also be required.

It is felt that home visits should only be made if medically necessary.

An innappropriate request would be for non-medical reasons such as transport difficulties or having dependent members of the family who themselves are not medically unfit to travel.

Please do not abuse this service - it is for genuine emergencies only.

Out of Hours

If you urgently need a Doctor when the surgery is closed then please call 01623 440144 or 01623 440666 and your call will be diverted to the out of hours service. You may be asked to attend the primary care centre at Kings Mill Hospital where you will be seen by the emergency GP.
